Solve real customer problems

Finding incredible things to do on your travels can be hard. Is the

experience available? Can you book with trust and

flexibility? What else is there to do? Is it truly worth it?

Problems like these can be complex. At GetYourGuide, we

are constantly innovating—often from the ground up—to

solve these and more.

Build incredible things at scale

The product we build enables our customers to book

unforgettable experiences and our partners to grow their

businesses. This is a complex task that comes with an

extraordinary opportunity. From developing the fintech

infrastructure that simplifies customer payments to shaping

the next leg of our growth journey, you can build incredible

things at GetYourGuide, on a global scale.

Work with the best talent out there

GetYourGuide employees have designed and built products

for some of the most successful companies on the planet.

So, you’ll often work in teams where no two life experiences

or backgrounds are the same. But one thing

never changes,  the passion for challenging

the status quo and relentlessly solving problems that matter.

The problems that we are solving

One thing in particular that I love about GetYourGuide is the culture. In Zurich it's easy to casually bump into each other at the office, meet new people, and have random chats about life and work. In fact, it was only since starting this job that I realized how much I missed this social element during the pandemic when we were all working from home.

The problems that we are solving

Product managers work with their teams and stakeholders in order to execute. Thus, we expect Product Managers to demonstrate leadership in order to motivate their teams, negotiate with and influence others, and sell their vision internally and externally.

User Experience at GetYourGuide
The problem that we are solving

Our goal is to make designers a partner to PM and Engineering in their contribution to the product. To achieve this, we need to build relationships and trust. The people on our team are not afraid to ask questions and speak up for our users. They also believe design should not be a black box, and make sure that the process is transparent and open to feedback from their peers. This helps build a collaborative environment and I see that our cross-functional teams truly enjoy working together.

Our tech stack

To shape the global experiences category, we need a tech stack that can stand the test of time. And while not everything makes the cut, we are constantly evaluating and assessing new technologies that help us improve and innovate better.

How we learn

Hackdays

Two-day hackathons where you can work on a project of your choice with colleagues in varying domains across the organization.

They occur every 2 months and provide an opportunity to try something new, build something impactful, and/or meet new people. Here you can learn, build, ship, and have a lot of fun.

Impact:
  • 171 Ideas pitched

  • 132 Projects executed

Guilds

Guilds at GetYourGuide —  for example Data Engineering — unite people across teams who share the same passions. By bringing together those in similar roles, guilds build bridges across silos. The result? A continuous learning culture that amplifies our collective impact.

Book clubs

Books are a great source of learning and relearning — we love them at GetYourGuide. If you do too, you can join groups like the UX Book Club and Technical Book Club.

Tech lunches

Our teams come together to share technical learnings every Thursday.
